Z20A8300A series
The Z20A8300A is an N-channel power MOSFET driver with three integrated current sense amplifiers. This device is capable of controlling MOSFETs connected in a three-phase bridge and is specifically designed for automotive applications with high-power inductive loads, such as BLDC/PMSM motors, in combination with a microcontroller. Z20A8300A can control six external N-FETs in the supply range from 5.5V to 50V with a integrated main charge pump. The charge pump regulator provides the supply for the MOSFET gate drive for battery voltages down to 5.5 V with a reduced gate drive. The charge pump can also be configured to drive the high side reverse polarity protection N-channel MOSFET. The gate drive strength is programmable to help reduce EMC issues. The high side gate drivers are supplied via bootstrap circuits. The trickle charge pump allows 100% PWM operation. The power MOSFETs are protected from shoot-through by integrated crossover control and optional programmable dead-time. The device comprises various monitoring and protection functions, the integrated diagnostics provide an indication of multiple internal faults, system faults, and power bridge faults, and can be configured to protect the power MOSFETs under different operating conditions. The serial interface (SPI) is provided to alter programmable settings and read back detailed diagnostic information. The Z20A8300A is available in a 48-pin LQFP package (suffix FK) with exposed thermal pad.
